LED Lights – LED lights are a great option for indoor growing and are quickly becoming one of the most popular styles of lights. They are generally easy to set up and smaller, which makes them very versatile. Most LEDs have a built-in cooling system, which makes them run cool, requiring no heat ventilation. However, they do require a lot of space, as LED lights need to be far away from your plants.
High Pressure Sodium – High pressure sodium lights are widely used grow lights that are very efficient and stimulate bud production in cannabis plants. HPS light appears yellow which is the spectrum cannabis plants need for budding. HPS lights are simple to install and use, however they generate a lot of heat and will require some ventilation, which means additional equipment for a correct set up. HPS lights produce some of the highest recorded yields, which makes them very popular.
Ceramic Metal Halide – Ceramic metal halide bulbs are very similar to HPS. CMH lights use the same style of light fixture, which makes the fairly efficient but still less so than HPS. These are long lasting bulbs that produce UV-B light, mimicking the sun. This allows them to stimulate good growth and bud production.
Metal Halide – Metal Halide, or MH, lights are a great option for growing medical cannabis indoors. MH lights are often used for the vegetative state of growing plants, i.e. when they are just leaves and stems, but they are also great for flowering.
